Domestic Update - Orillia Rowing Club

The Orillia Rowing Club was successful in receiving grant monies to start adaptive programming this year from Rowing Canada. This program provides rowing opportunities to members of the public who have special needs so that teaching styles, equipment, communications and procedure are "adapted" to enable these participants to enjoy this incredible sport and recreational prospects on our beautiful venue of Lake Couchiching.
Participants with physical, cognitive and other special needs are encouraged to get involved with rowing for health, fitness and fun and adaptive programs can provide the vehicle to do so. This program is developing while the club searches for community partners and interested individuals and will further expand during future rowing seasons.

The Orillia Rowing Club in partnership with Orillia Parks and Recreation offers a one-week half day rowing camp August 16 - 20 for youth ages 11- 15 years with space still available.

For more information about rowing for people of all ages and abilities call the boathouse at 705-326-7023 or visit our website www.orilliarowingclub.com
