Rowing Canada Aviron is proud to share its new DVD that promotes the growing sport of adaptive rowing.
The video is approximately eight minutes long and features Canada's current World Champion crew, the mixed adaptive 4+. It explains that adaptive rowing can be for anyone, regardless of disability.
"RCA's continued commitment to grow and support adaptive rowing has led to the development of several promotional items - including the DVD, adaptive postcards and a USB of images available to clubs and associations to help promote the sport," said Jennifer Parfitt, RCA's Domestic Development Officer - Sport Development.
The DVD, available in bilingual format, was created for RCA by Olympic gold medalist Kevin Light.
Adaptive rowing is growing as more clubs embrace programs for those with various disabilities. Internationally, adaptive rowing was added to the World Championships in 2002 and was first included in the Paralympic Games in 2008.
