2010 Commonwealth Rowing Championships awarded to Canada

The Commonwealth Rowing Association (CRA) recently awarded the 2010 Commonwealth Rowing Championships to Canada. The Commonwealth Rowing Championships are held every four years as part of the long term strategy of the CRA to promote development of the sport of Rowing in the Commonwealth and, ultimately, to have Rowing included in the Commonwealth Games as a core sport. The last Commonwealth Rowing Championships was hosted by Scotland in 2006 (Strathclyde). Canada last hosted the Championships in 1999 (London, ON).

RCA will follow a formal bid process to award the hosting of the 2010 Commonwealth Rowing Championships. The detailed bid package will be forthcoming – look for further details on the RCA website.
