Rowing Canada Aviron selects teams to represent Canada at each international rowing competitions. This includes the Olympic and Paralympic Games (held every four years – with the next Games in Tokyo in 2020) and World Rowing Championships (held each year). The Rowing World Cup series comprises three regattas held each year and overall winners are determined by points that are award to the top finishing boats at each event. Rowing Canada Aviron also selects developing athletes to compete in the Under-23 and Junior World Rowing Championships, the CanAmMex Regatta and the Canada Games. Athlete will also compete at domestically at the National Rowing Championships – Canada Cup and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta.
Canadian rowers at the university level compete each year at regional regattas which culminates in the Canadian University Rowing Association Championships.
