Top tip for getting up so early each morning: Set at least three alarms that are out of reach from your bed.
First experiences of being successful in a boat (or an erg): On my first 2k erg test in my novice year, I pulled the best score on the team. I ran downstairs from the erg room to the gym to tell my brother my time (he was a grade 12 rower at Governor Simcoe at the time), where he casually brought me back down to earth, telling me it wasn't that good.
Love for rowing: What I love about rowing is that hard work pays off. I also love the relationships you make. It’s the best sport for me because I enjoy pushing my body to its limits.
Other sports participated in: I played competitive soccer throughout elementary school and part of my grade 9 year but was looking for a way out because my knees couldn’t handle the running. Luckily, I found rowing.
