Adaptive rowing is rowing or sculling for rowers with a disability who meet the criteria set out in the adaptive rowing classification regulations, and is raced over 1000 metres. Adaptive rowing has been part of the World Rowing Championships since 2002 and appeared in the Paralympic Games for the first time in 2008.
