Rowing Canada Aviron ran a weekend camp at the Don Rowing Club on November 28th and 29th. Twenty-seven athletes participated in the two-day camp which featured a morning run, technical rowing, tank and erg sessions, test preparation and competitive sessions. Guest speaker World U23 Bronze medallist Michael Braithwaite provided insight to his experiences on the National Team. Don Rowing Club Head Coach Bernhard Stomporowski gave an informative presentation on training and energy systems. Physiotherapist Lynda Dundas discussed the value of stretching and ran through a routine specific to rowers and former National Team Coach Fred Loek talked about experiences coaching World Champions and athletes at the Olympics. The camp
concluded with an ergometer competition saw athletes team up and race against each other!
