The objective of the 2010 Canadian Under 23 program is: To select crews capable of winning medals at the U23 World Championships, July 22 - 25, 2010 in Brest, Belarus.

Eligibility and Application:
Athletes should be available from June 1 to July 25. The first stage of this period will be the selection camp in London, Ontario from June 1 until mid July and the next stage will be the competition preparation portion of this camp based in Europe the week prior to the U23 World Championships. If you can not arrive in London, Ontario by June 1st, please include this in your application.
You must be born in 1988 or later and be registered with RCA through a Canadian club.
Invitation to the selection camp in London will be based on past results, results from the 2009 National Rowing Championships and erg targets:
All other applicants should apply with best erg scores and a resume about rowing successes and their coaches' names and e-mails.
Applicants should:
- submit all test scores for RCA National team tests:
October 19 - 6km
December 7- 6km
February 8 - 2km or 6km
March 22 - 6km
May 10 - 2km or 6km
These tests can be done up until this date. If you have a reason for missing a test send in this reason and when you plan to do a make up. Information on the erg program is posted here.
Athletes must send letter of intent including:
1. Date of arrival (you are welcome to train and will be coached at centre prior to the June 2 start-up date - the earlier the better!).
2. List of erg scores (including other distances e.g. 5km) since Jan. of 2009
3. Preferred sweep side and an indication of your sculling ability
4. Height and weight
5. Present coaches' name and email address
6. Whether assistance will be needed finding accommodation, if you are interested in being billeted and if you will need help with ground transportation.
Coxswains must include a detailed resume including 3 coaches' comments, present body weight and achievable body weight and racing resume for the last 3 years.

Athletes and Coxswains will be responsible for covering cost to and during their stay in London.
The selected team will train in London and may compete in the U.S. Rowing National Championships, June 24 to 26, Mercer Lake, New Jersey. Selection of crews to represent Canada at the 2010 U23 World Championships and 2010 U.S. Rowing National Championships will be based on the talent and performance of the group in the selection camp. While in London, the U23 Women's Team will be co-ordinated by Michelle Darvill.
A financial assessment of up to $2000 for the U23 World Championship National Team may be applied to each individual member of the U23 National Team. Further information on the financial assessment will follow.
