With Junior Speed Orders coming up in just over a week, I wanted to give some updates and reminders to everyone:

Schedule:
The schedule for Speed Orders is here . Please let me know if you have any questions.

Transportation of Boats:
It is very important that those athletes that are borrowing boats will have to organize a way for them to get from CSSRA’s to Speed Orders (St Catharines to Welland). If this has not already been organized, get this done as soon as possible so there are not any stresses just before the race!!

Call for Volunteers:
There will be volunteers needed for this event, so please spread the word and contact Jarret Poitras if you are interested in volunteering. Some examples of tasks that require volunteers are:
* driving of safety boats
* boat holders
* check-in booth
* BBQ lunch

Deposit for World Championships and CanAmMex:
Don’t forget that the $1500 deposit absolutely has to be into the Rowing Canada office or in Jarret Poitras’ hands before the start of races on June 4th. If the races start and I do not have your deposit, you will not be eligible for nomination for the team. Remember that if you are not selected, your cheque can either be returned or destroyed by Rowing Canada.

Athlete Agreements:
Athlete Agreements ALSO have to be in before the start of racing on June 4th. Make sure you mail or fax those in, or hand them in to me before racing starts.

RCA Membership:
This is a final reminder that those athletes that received an email from me today about getting your RCA membership renewed MUST do so before June 4th, or you are not eligible to race.

Accommodations:
For those athletes/coaches/parents that are looking for accommodation in Welland, I have arranged a special deal at the Niagara College Residence and the Comfort Inn. Both of these accommodations are within a very short distance from the course. Please contact me if you would like contact information or pricing of these rooms. Obviously the sooner the better, as their vacancy is filling up!!
