RCA joins the Canadian rowing community in mourning the loss yesterday of Brian Lamb, a long serving and respected Director on the RCA Board.
Lamb was a member of the RCA Board of Directors since 2002, serving as Director, Vice President of Finance and Administration, and lastly as Director at Large and Treasurer. Lamb was a passionate rower with the Victoria City Rowing Club, where he volunteered his time on the Board in a number of roles including President, and as a Regatta Chair for regattas including many successful National Rowing Championships at Elk Lake. He was also a dedicated volunteer at the provincial level having served as President of Rowing BC.
“RCA is incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of our friend and colleague, Brian Lamb,” said Mike Walker, President, RCA. “Brian’s contributions to the Canadian rowing community through his work on the RCA Board and his volunteerism will have a lasting impact. Brian’s advice, mentorship and, most of all, friendship throughout my term has meant the world to me. He will be incredibly missed and our thoughts are with his family and friends.”
