NTC Athletes Race at Henley

Saturday, August 12 – The 135th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta started strong for the National Training Centre, with all crews racing in the Women's Championship Pair advancing to the final on Sunday (10:20 a.m. ET). Nicole Hare and Hillary Janssens finished the top boat of the first heat, followed by Rebecca Zimmerman and Christine Roper. In the second heat, the pair composed of Lisa Roman and Kristin Bauder was the first one to cross the finish line, with Jennifer Martins and Susanne Grainger taking second place. They will race in the final alongside St. Catharines Rowing Club and Victoria City Rowing Club.

In the Womens' Championship Single, Carling Zeeman won her heat with open water, advancing to the final on Sunday (1:40 p.m. ET). In the second heat, two Canadian boats crossed the finish line almost side by side, with Ellen Gleadow placing first and Jill Moffatt second, both securing their spot in the final. In the third heat, Trish Mara took the last spot in the final with her second place, while Jennifer Casson took third.

The Women's Championship Eight is racing their final on Sunday (2:00 p.m. ET).
